G-Mode was established in July 2000 as the world's first mobile network game contents provider specializing in Java game software for cell phones.

Traditional console video game company (e.g. PS2 platform, Windows) publishing numerous very low priced titles adapted from former arcade games and older, previously premium titles. It was formed through the merger of Softbank's ITmedia and SunBridge's atmarkIT. atmarkIT was/is the largest web site serving IT professionals in Japan. atmerkIT is a problem solving resource for the IT expert, offering numerous forums on various subjects, technical articles and case studies. In addition to providing online advice, support and information, the company also offers conference and seminar planning and management.
