Takaaki Nagayama

SunBridge Corporation CEO, Director

Mr. Nagayama serves as an advisor to SunBridge Partners, while continuing his roles as the CEO and a Director of SunBridge Corporation.

After acquiring his Masters in engineering from the University of Tokyo, Mr. Nagayama joined IBM Japan in 1987 as a software engineer.  At IBM, Mr. Nagayama was stationed in the US and various global sites for Japanese support in IBM products and services. 

Mr. Nagayama joined Oracle Japan in 1991 in product management and OEM sales.  He transferred to Oracle in the US in 1995 as the head of a new business unit dealing with OEMs, including NEC.  Mr. Nagayama was promoted to Vice President of Oracle's Asian Products Division in 1998.

Mr. Nagayama joined SunBridge at its founding in 1999.  As Chief Investment Officer and a member of the investment committee, Mr. Nagayama has overseen all aspects of the SunBridge Corporation investment process from initial deal sourcing through due diligence and investment to post investment management and support, and has gained extensive venture capital experience in working with 33 new technology startups.
